  1. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Expected price: Rs. 2.5 to 3 Lakh

RE will be launching their much-anticipated Interceptor 650 in India on 14th of November 2018. This is one-half of the 650 twins which was launched recently in the markets of US. The motorcycle has a simple styling approach to it and can be called a successor to the retro Interceptor which was manufactured back in the 60’s era.

  1. Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

Expected Price: Rs. 2.5 to 3 Lakh

This is the other half of the much anticipated 650 twins that we all are eagerly waiting for. Now there could be two reasons behind it. The first one being that these motorcycles will be the most powerful motorcycles that RE has launched in India while the second reason could be that these will also be the cheapest twin cylinder motorcycle that money can buy.

The Continental GT 650 is basically a cafe racer and looks almost identical to the Continental GT 535 which is now discontinued here in India. This motorcycle too shares the powertrain and chassis with the Interceptor 650. The 648 cc unit produces the same amount of power and torque output like the Interceptor 650. Both the motorcycles get a slipper clutch and ABS as standard which is actually a good thing because it adds a modern touch to these retro motorcycles.

  1. Jawa 300

Expected Price: Rs. 1.5 to 2 Lakhs

This is an equally anticipated motorcycle for the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. The Jawa 300 will be Royal Enfield’s biggest rival and will be launching on 15th of November just after RE launches their 650 twins in India. The upcoming Jawa motorcycle was caught testing recently.

The motorcycle will get retro styling which will remind you of the old Jawa bikes. The upcoming Jawa 300 will be powered by a completely new single-cylinder 293cc unit with liquid-cooling, fuel injection and a four-valve DOHC valvetrain. This engine will generate about 27 Ps of peak power and 28 Nm of torque and will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

KTM is also launching the Duke 125 in India within the next month and it will be the most affordable motorcycle in the KTM range. Positioned under the Duke 200 the Duke 125 surely will be a treat for the motorcycle enthusiast because it will definitely also be one of the most affordable 125 cc performance oriented motorcycle in India.

The Duke 125 is powered by a single cylinder liquid cooled 125 cc unit producing about 15 hp of peak power and 12 Nm of torque. The motorcycle will come loaded with many segment first features like full LED headlamp, dual channel ABS (if KTM launches the same Euro-spec model in India), etc. With all these premium features it will be interesting to find out how much this 125 cc motorcycle from KTM will cost and where exactly it will be positioned in the Indian market.

  1. Hero Xpulse 200

Expected Price: Rs. 1-1.10 Lakhs

Hero Motocorp will also be introducing the Xpulse 200 in India real soon. The Xpulse 200 will be replacing the Impulse 150 which has made quite a name for itself for its off-road capabilities and affordable pricing. However, the motorcycle was blamed mostly because it was underpowered hopefully the new Xpulse with its new and developed air-cooled, a fuel-injected single-cylinder 200cc engine will be able to impress the adventure enthusiasts.

The new engine generates a max power of 18.4PS at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 17.1Nm at 6,500rpm. The motorcycle will also get plenty of modern hardware as well including LED headlamps, fully digital instrument cluster, long suspension travel and a single channel ABS for the safety of the rider. The Hero Xpulse 200 will definitely attract the attention of those buyers who are looking for an adventure tourer which needs less maintenance and is also affordable at the same time.
