2. New Dashboard
The overall design of the dashboard has been carried over but the centre console gets a new design as top end models to come with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a smaller 5-inch screen on other variants. The dual tone beige and black colour theme helps the cabin to feel more spacious. The company has also improved the quality of the materials used.
3. New Infotainment System
Ford has finally given touchscreen infotainment system for the Aspire as the current model doesn’t get a touchscreen and it comes with a small screen in the middle with lots of buttons. The 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system uses SYNC software and it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options with voice command.
4. Updated Features
The current generation model already comes with lots of features and the company might give some new features to spice up the package. The Aspire facelift model comes with a reverse camera with parking sensors, automatic headlamp, automatic wipers, electronically controlled exterior mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start and more. The compact sedan also gets safety features like six airbags, ABS, EBD and Brake Assist.
5. New Engine
Ford has replaced the old 1.2 L engine with new 1.2 L 3 cylinder Dragon series engine from Freestyle and it produces 96 PS and 120 Nm. This new engine offers better performance and efficiency compared to the previous engine. The 1.5 L diesel with 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque continues. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual as standard and 6 speed automatic only with a petrol engine.
