Several new cars are lined up for launch this festive season; Here’s the list of the top 5 upcoming cars in India slated for market debut in the coming months

The festive season is one of the best times of the year to launch a new car, given the high sales potential around this timeline. The year 2023 is no different as several new cars are set to debut in the near future. Let’s have a look at the top 5 cars under Rs. 15 lakh launching this festive season in India.

1. 2023 Tata Nexon Facelift

The Nexon facelift will be one of the most prominent launches of 2023 from the house of Tata Motors. The updated SUV will bring a drastic change to the overall package, which includes a design inspired by the Curvv ICE concept, a new cabin layout coupled with the latest 10.25-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and the new 1.2-litre tGDi petrol engine producing 125 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque will be part of the package. In terms of pricing, a slight hike is quite obvious and it will most likely debut next month.

2. Honda Elevate

Marking the Honda’s entry into the mid-size SUV space, the Elevate was unveiled in June and is ready for its market launch next month i.e. September 2023. The bookings of the SUV are already underway and the deliveries are expected to start soon after the price announcement. It is powered by a familiar 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine putting out 121 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque and the price is expected to start around the Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom) ballpark.

3. Toyota Rumion

The next rebadged Maruti Suzuki car which will be sold under the Toyota nameplate in India is the Rumion. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga-based MPV will launch in the domestic market next month i.e. September 2023. For reference, Toyota already sells the Ertiga-based Rumion in the South African market which is manufactured and exported by Maruti from India. Recently, Toyota unveiled the MPV in the country along with revealing its variant line-up.

4. Citroen C3 Aircross

Another mid-size SUV that will hit the Indian shores very soon is the Citroen C3 Aircross. Available in both 5 and 7-seater configurations, the C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine putting out 110 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. While the car has already been revealed in the country, the prices are awaited and it is expected to start from around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

5. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

We haven’t seen any new significant launches from Mahindra & Mahindra this year. To put an end to this dry spell, the Indian SUV maker will likely launch the longer version of the Bolero Neo in India. The test mule has already been spotted multiple times on the roads and the SUV is expected to be powered by the 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine. Measuring more than 4 meters in length, the car will invite extra taxation resulting in a higher starting price of around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
