The TVS Star City + is the most affordable motorcycle in this list, since it is priced at Rs 62,784 (ex-showroom). It comes equipped with a 109.7 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is good for 8.7 PS and 6.03 Nm. The transmission duties are handled by a 4-speed transmission.
2. Hero Super Splendor
The Hero Super Splendor is priced at Rs 68,150 for the drum brake variant, and Rs 71,650 for the disc brake version (both prices, ex-showroom). It gets a 124.7 cc, air-cooled, OHC, single-cylinder engine that belts out 10.87 PS of max power and 10.6 Nm of peak torque. The Super Splendor is also equipped with Hero’s xSens technology.
3. Bajaj Pulsar 125
The Pulsar 125 is the entry-level model in Bajaj’s Pulsar line-up, and the bike comes equipped with a 124.4 single-cylinder FI engine that produces 11.8 PS power/10.8 Nm torque, while the suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front, and twin gas shock absorbers at the rear. The BS6-compliant Pulsar 125 is retailed from Rs 70,995 (ex-showroom).

The Honda SP 125 was one of the first motorcycles to be made to comply with the latest emission norms last year, and the updated model is now retailed at Rs 73,452 (ex-showroom) for the drum brake variant. The bike continues to draw power from a 124.73 cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine that now generates 10.88 PS power, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
5. Hero Glamour
The BS6 Hero Glamour was launched earlier this year, but subsequent price hikes have brought its price up to Rs 69,750 and Rs 73,250 (ex-showroom) for the drum and disc variant respectively. The bike continues to draw power from a 124.7 cc single-cylinder motor that is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Power and torque figures are rated at 10.87 PS and 10.6 Nm respectively.
