Top 10 Selling Two-Wheelers in October 2015 witness the return of Activa on top of the list while Splendor is back to second position by just a tiny margin.

Yes, it is that time of the month where we tell us first that who has succeeded in selling their product which are said to be the most value for money and fuel efficient. Two leaders are set in this post ever since the break up of Hero and Honda. Honda continues to sell around two lakh units of Activa and so does Splendor from Hero.

Earlier it was the Splendor in the lead, which was last year exactly. However, since the past one year it is Activa and the scooter sales, which have gone higher and the market leader continues to be at the top. India's no.1 2 wheeler is Honda Activa-1

Meanwhile, on the third and fourth position are regular entrants from Hero itself. Passion and new rural king HF-Deluxe series of motorcycle continues to do large numbers which are around the one lakh mark. Passion, however, saw a drop and it has reached around 96,000. HF series continues to soar and it has sold 1.07 lakh units.

Again comes Honda with its only best selling motorcycle in the entire stable, the CB Shine which sold around 90,000 units. Dream series are out of the race as Bajaj and TVS have cumulatively drawn them out of the list. The TVS XL Super and Pulsar along with the CT100 are continuing to dominate the latter half of the top 10 list.

Pulsar reaches all new high at 70,000 units after being stuck at 50,000 units for quite some time. All thanks to new launches in the 200cc segment in various forms. Surprisingly, the new entrant is the new scooter from Hero. The Maestro and Maestro Edge sales combined have reached 65,000 units that are truly surprising and astonishing. Something that should worry Honda. TVS Jupiter is out of the list, thanks to the Maestro.

Hero Maestro Edge launched-17

Last, but no the least is surprise entrant since the last 7-8 months is the Hero Glamour of the sudden. A soft launch with minor upgrades which were showcased in October 2014 has boosted it sales. It is not near its key rival, the CB Shine but nevertheless it has given a subtle amount of worry to Honda.

Overall, Hero is showing who is the real boss despite its break up with Honda. New scooters have overwhelming response something that the existing scooter market leader should worry about. In this elephant war, its small people that suffer and despite doing good and consistent numbers, the TVS Jupiter is out. Scooter sales should see TVS in third position most likely.

Needless to say Mahindra has thrown in some competition also. Overall, it is just the Passion and Pulsar which have taken a minute hit when it comes to YoY sales comparison. but month on MoM it is the passion which has lost slightly and Pulsar has gone significantly higher.
