Honda continues to dominate the two-wheeler mass market with their popular offering Activa
Indian people love scooters even more than motorcycles and the sales figures for the month of August 2018 prove exactly that. For three months in a row, the Honda Activa occupied the top spot and became the largest selling two-wheeler in the Indian market even defeating the most common obvious choice of people the Hero Motocorp Splendor.
If we talk about the sales figures in particular Honda sold a total of 310,851 units of their popular Activa scooter in the month of August 2018 which was then followed by Hero Splendor with 247,116 units.
Back in May 2018 Hero, however, was able to defeat the Activa in terms of sales and after almost two years but Honda once again claimed the top spot in the month of June 18.

Apart from the Activa and Splendor, the third position is occupied by another entry-level Hero Motocorp product the HF Deluxe which sold a total of 183,716 units during the same month followed by yet another Honda bestseller the CB Shine 108,790 units.
While the fourth fifth and sixth positions are filled by Hero Passion (82,681 units), Bajaj CT (82,424 units) and the popular TVS scooter Jupiter (79,223 units) respectively.
The last three positions were also filled by some of the other popular commuter motorcycles including the Hero Glamour(74,097 units), TVS XL Super(70,883 units) and lastly Bajaj Pulsar range which sold 70,051 units during the following month.
