4. Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R – 14734 units

Unsurprisingly, the top four positions were a complete sweep by Maruti Suzuki models with Wagon R coming home fourth in an almost similar sales figure to what was seen last October.

At 14,734 units sold in October, Maruti Suzuki has recently launched a limited edition model, Avanche, priced at 4.30lakh eyeing an even bigger sales target during festival season.

As the Maruti Celerio and Alto AMT’s are well received among customers seeking for tireless drive in jammed up Indian traffic, the AMT version of the practical Wagon R and the stylish Stingray hatchbacks will only make for instant hits. The Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R AMT and Stingray AMT are set to be launched later this month.

3. Maruti Suzuki Swift – 17669 units

Leagues ahead of its nearest competitors, Maruti Suzuki has retailed 17,669 units of Swift hatchbacks this past month.

India’s favourite hatchback has only grown over the years as evident from the fact that over 5,000 units were sold last month compared to 2014 October.

2. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire – 21084 units

Another blockbuster from the Maruti Suzuki stable is Swift Dzire, the sub-four metre sedan emerged from another sensational hit-product, the aforementioned Swift hatchback.

The total number of Swift Dzire cars sold in October are 21,084 which is some miles ahead of rivals in its segment like Amaze, Xcent, Zest and Etios.

Maruti Alto K10 UrbanoAs ever, the unassailable leader of the October sales chart has been Maruti Suzuki Alto. It’s so domineering that none of the closest nemesis in its range will stand a chance of achieving the feats Alto has managed to garner over the years.

Maruti Suzuki Alto has been sold at a total of 22,861 units with more sales expected during the course of the festival season in a rapid rate.
