7. Mahindra Bolero – 7754 units

The only Mahindra featuring on our list is its SUV offering Bolero with a total of 7,754 units sold in October. Nonetheless, it was more that 1,300 units down in relation to the sales statistics of the same month last year.

It has beaten Hyundai Creta by a narrow margin as the top-selling SUV after losing this honour earlier in August. In the last three months, number of Mahindra Boleros sold are 18,143 units against a total of 21,982 units of Hyundai Creta retailed in the same period.

Meanwhile, Mahindra TUV300 has already outsmarted Ford EcoSport by over 1,100 units in the month of October in a stunning fashion.

6. Hyundai I20 – 11019 units

Hyundai-Elite-i20-ATHyundai i20 has always been a mainstay in the sales charts by selling over 10,000 units every month since February. Hovering at a little over 11,000 units – 2,123 up on 2014 October – the comparison gives a clear indication of the strides the company has made since i20 Elite graced the showrooms in September last term.

The Elite i20, with it’s premium styling, high-quality interiors and plethora of equipment has become a popular choice in its segment against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Volkswagen Polo.

5. Hyundai Grand I10 – 14079 units

Leading Hyundai’s charge on the sales table is Grand i10, an attractively styled hatchback with no-nonsense attitude. At a rise of 5,679 units when compared to October 2014 stats, the entry level hatchback was sold at a blistering pace: 14,079 of them in total just in October.

The Hyundai Grand i10 comes with both petrol and diesel engines with the petrol getting both manual and automatic gearboxes. It offers great value for money considering all the options and gadgets that come along whilst being frugal with the Kappa and CRDI Turbocharged engines available.
