On the Top 10 Selling Cars of November 2015 list, Maruti Baleno enters with bang while Creta disappear for the first time [Data Updated]

Yet Again, a newly launched vehicle by country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki makes entry into the top 10 selling car list in its very first month and that is the premium hatchback Baleno.Due to successful sales of Baleno, Maruti cuts the Swift’s production as both cars are manufactured at the Manesar plant.

In the list, One Mahindra, three cars of Hyundai while remaining all six cars belong to Maruti Suzuki.

10. Mahindra Bolero – 6,875 units

Mahindra Balero has beaten Hyundai Creta by a good margin as the top-selling SUV after losing this honour earlier in August retains the position from last 2 month. In the last months, 6,875 units of Mahindra Bolero’s sold against the 5,837 units of Hyundai Creta.

9. Maruti Celerio – 6,956 Units

Maruti retailed 6,956 units of Celerio in November compared to 4,926 units in the same month last year and registered 2,030 units of growth. Most likely, there is a good contribution from the Diesel variant of Celerio, which Maruti launched in June 2015.

8. Hyundai Eon – 7,154 Units

The ninth on our top ten selling list is the Hyundai entry segment car “EON”. With the YOY growth of 8%, 7,154 Hyundai Eons were sold in November 2015 compared to 6,626 units in the same month last year. Eon is on a steady number since it was launched in India.

7. Hyundai I20 – 8,264 units

The Hyundai Elite i20 is the country’s highest selling premium hatchback till date, as last week, Hyundai says 1,50,000 Elite i20s were sold since its launch last year. However, in November 2015, Hyundai retailed 132 less units compared to November 2014.

In November 2015, Hyundai retailed 8,264 units, while company retailed 8,396 units last year. It is also speculated that the new launch in a segment with competitors like Jazz and Baleno hurt its sales.

6. Maruti Suzuki Baleno – 9,074 units

While Baleno was launched on 26 October, Maruti retailed around 4,200 units in that month alone. In November, Maruti retailed 9,074 units, and hence, resulted in the decline of the sales of Elite i20 and Maruti Swift largely.
