In Top 10 Selling Cars in June 2015 in India, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire emerges as the best selling car with over 24516 units sold including tour

Maruti Suzuki has been the leader of the pack in terms of sales in the country for quite a while now. So it is not really surprising when we see that the best-selling cars in the country are from Maruti Suzuki. The month of June witnessed Maruti Suzuki Dzire emerging as the best-selling car in the country with a total of 24,516 units being sold. 21,866 units out of these were of the regular Dzire whereas 2,850 units were of the Dzire Tour.

It was followed by the Alto which sold a total of 21,115 units. The Alto has been the bestseller in the country for ages and the Dzire takes over now and then. Joining the podium on the third place was the Swift which sold 17,313 units and the fourth place was occupied by Maruti Suzuki’s workhorse Wagon R which sold a total of 13,221 units.

 

Top 10 Selling Cars in June 2015 in India

Hyundai Grand i10 emerged as the fifth bestselling car as 8,970 units of the same hit the roads in June 2015. The Elite i20 came forth as the bestselling premium hatchback and sixth in terms of sales with 8,706 units getting sold. The Celerio continued its strong run with 8,078 units.

Honda City came in as the bestselling mid-size sedan with 7,187 units at the eighth place. The ninth and tenth positions were occupied by Honda Amaze and Hyundai Eon which sold 6,834 and 5,313 units respectively.

July just witnessed the launch of Honda Jazz and it would be interesting to see if it manages to shake the premium hatchback segment. The likes of Mobilio, EcoSport and Ertiga couldn’t make their way to the top 10 as their demand has started to go south. The Indian automobile sector will play witness to the launch of a slew of new cars in future and it would be interesting to see how things pan out in future.
