Top 10 Selling Cars in August 2016

Renault Kwid 1.0L (1000cc) Review-24

Top 10 selling cars in August 2016 saw Renault Kwid continue to eat into the sales of Alto despite Maruti Suzuki having 7 products in the chart

Maruti Suzuki, the leading car maker in the country, has utterly dominated the monthly sales chart once again. In August 2016, seven products in the top ten belong to the Indo-Japanese manufacturer as Renault Kwid, Hyundai Grand i10 and Elite i20 are the other models featured among the best. The Indian car market is expected to reach over three million mark in this fiscal and in August alone more than 2,55,000 units were sold all together.

With twelve car makers recording growth last month, Maruti Suzuki has made the most of sales as you can see from the chart. Because of continuous rise in selling numbers for the Renault Kwid in the entry-level hatchback segment, the Maruti Alto has witnessed drop in sales for the last five months. While Alto registered 20,919 units, Renault Kwid lies at sixth position with 10,719 deliveries made.
