Mahindra going to launch XUV300 by Mid-February and it is expected to be priced aggressively against competitors
Mahindra officially revealed the XUV 300 recently and the company is going to launch the compact SUV in mid February. The XUV 300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli platform and both shares lots of components, which keeps cost down. The XUV 300 is loaded with lots of new features and some-segment first also. In this article we are featuring the top ten features.
1. Large DRLs
Mahindra has given a completely new design theme for the XUV 300 as it doesn’t take any design cues from Tivoli. One of the unique parts of the design os large LED DRLs as most of the cars come with them integrated into the headlight, which is normal and the XUV 300 also get but it extends towards the fog lamps as it gives a unique look for the compact SUV.
In recent times one of the most popular features among Indians is Sunroof even though our climate and road conditions are not suitable for it. The XUV 300 comes with sunroof in the top end model and EcoSport is the only other model to offer this in the same segment.
3. Dual Zone Auto AC
Climate Control is available in most of the modern cars but the XUV 300 comes with segment first dual-zone climate control as both driver and co-passenger can set different temperature, this feature is mostly available only in expensive cars as it will become more popular among customers for sure and we could expect this in other Mahindra models also.
4. 7 Airbags
Mahindra is focusing on safety a lot and they were one of the first companies to offer dual airbags and ABS as standard among most models. The new XUV 300 will come with segment-first seven airbags on the top end model, which makes it one of the safest compact SUVs in the country and regular model get dual airbags.
5. Smart Steering
This feature is also unique for XUV 300 and it is a segment-first-feature on a budget model as the company offers three different steering modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport, which gives different feel and feedback for the driver, this feature is currently only available on luxury models and lets hope other manufacturers will pick it up.
6. 17-inch wheels with all 4 disc brakes
The top-end model of XUV 300 comes with 17-inch machine cut alloy wheels while the lower-spec model offers 16-inch- wheels. The compact SUV also offer four-disc brakes and it is a segment-first-feature also as it will definitely improve braking performance. Mahindra XUV 300 also gets ABS with EBD braking system also.
7. 3 Rear Headrests
Mahindra XUV 300 measures under four metres and the compact SUV comes with three headrests at the rear. The XUV 300 might come with rear AC vents and the top end may get leather upholstery.
8. Cruise Control
Cruise control is another important feature in the Mahindra XUV300 and it helps during long drives out on the highways as the SUV moves on a steady speed set by the driver, which will reduce fatigue in most cases.
Electronic Stability Program helps a lot in improving the confidence of the driver behind the wheel while acting as a safety system mainly during cornering. It ensures good traction levels and is available on the Mahindra XUV300.
10. Leather Seats
Mahindra will position the XUV300 compact SUV as a premium product within the brand’s lineup. Therefore, several upmarket features are certainly on the card including leather seats at the front and rear.
