Tata Nexon finished on top ahead of Punch, Brezza, Venue, Fronx and Exter in the compact SUV sales charts for November 2023
In the month of November 2023, Tata Motors’ Nexon finished on top of the compact SUV sales charts with a total of 14,916 units as against 15,871 units during the same period last year with a YoY negative sales growth of 6 per cent. It was followed by its micro SUV sibling, the Punch, which recorded a 19 per cent volume increase.
The Tata Punch garnered a domestic tally of 14,383 units last month as against 12,131 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza filled the third spot with 13,393 unit sales as against 11,324 units in November 2022 with a YoY sales growth of 18 per cent.
The Hyundai Venue finished in the fourth position with 11,180 units as against 10,738 units with a YoY growth of 4 per cent. The sub-four-metre SUV segment welcomed two brand new models this year and both of them have been well received by customers. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx finished in the fifth position with 9,867 units.

In the second half of the table, Hyundai Exter came in sixth with 8,325 units. The Kia Sonet will receive a big update soon in India and its global debut will be hosted in New Delhi on December 14, 2023. The five-seater recorded a total of 6,433 unit sales as against 7,834 units during the same period last year with a YoY sales de-growth of 18 per cent.
The Mahindra XUV300 is also due a facelift in early 2024 with exterior and interior revisions. The SUV posted 4,673 units as against 5,903 units with a YoY sales decline of 21 per cent. The Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger covered the ninth and tenth positions respectively in the final month of this calendar year.
The Magnite recorded a total of 2,454 units as against 2,397 units with a YoY growth of 2 per cent while the Kiger managed a total of just 530 units as against 2,278 units in November 2022 with a YoY slump of 77 per cent.
