The 2018 Tata Tigor facelift received both exterior and interior update along with a new equipment list and improved safety features

Tata Motors has given their popular subcompact sedan Tigor a mild refresh for the year 2018. The prices for the new Tigor facelift starts from Rs. 5.20 lakh for the base petrol, while the top spec fully loaded diesel variant is priced at Rs. 7.38 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

The facelifted car gets lots of cosmetic updates to its exterior as well as interior along with new equipment inside the cabin. The Tata Tigor facelift will rival against the likes of Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, and the Volkswagen Ameo.   1. New colour option

The Tigor facelift gets a new Egyptian Blue paint option on offer now besides the five existing colour options including Roman Silver, Berry Red, Pearlescent White, Titanium Grey, Espresso and Brown.

  1. Revised Exterior

Exterior cosmetic changes include a new diamond-shaped chrome embellishment on the front grille and new door handles with chrome accents.

  1. Improved Headlamp setup

The old halogen headlamp units have now been replaced with a double barrel headlamp setup complete with projector units and chrome finish to it. Towards the rear profile, the Tigor also gets a revised crystal inspired taillamp unit as well.

The Tigor has received a new stylish dual tone 15-inch alloy wheels which replaced the old unit

  1. Refreshed Cabin

Inside the cabin, the compact sedan gets a slightly updated dashboard finished in premium duel black and grey colour scheme and chrome accents around the air vents and infotainment system.

The cabin now also features a soft touch knitted roof liner and new fabric inserts on the door trim. It even received new steering mounted controls and also a fast charging port.

  1. Bigger Touchscreen Infotainment system

The 2018 Tigor facelift has received an all-new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Harman with Android auto compatibility. This system gets video playback and reverses camera assist. The updated car also received voice command based navigation system, music streaming, mirrorlink, and Bluetooth connectivity.

  1. Added Safety with High strength steel

For the safety of the passengers, the Tigor gets a reinforced structure with high strength steel.

  1. New top spec XZ+ Trim

Tata offers a new top spec XZ+ trim now with the car which features faux-leather upholstery, driver’s side seat-height adjust, power-folding wing mirrors integrated with side turn indicators and also a shark-fin antenna. The other existing trims include XE, XM, XZ, and XZA.

  1. No Mechanical change

There are no mechanical changes under the hood the facelift compact sedan still continues to be powered by the 1.2 Liter petrol engine and 1.05 Liter diesel unit producing 85 Bhp and 70 Bhp respectively. Both the petrol and diesel variant gets 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while there is 5 speed AMT also on offer only with the petrol engine.
