Bajaj introduced Pulsar 200 NS as a successor the aging Pulsar 220. The design of 200 NS was completely different and in a league of its when compared to other Pulsar model till that date. The 200 NS was the cheaper alternative of the full blow KTM Duke 200 the bike which it is based on. Bajaj replaced the expensive parts of Duke 200 with alternative parts to make the Pulsar 200 NS affordable for the mass market.
The Pulsar 200 NS is the first naked bike from Bajaj. The small headlamp with pilot lamps at the bottom gives a sporty look. The tank design along with scoops gives a muscular look for the Pulsar 200 NS. Bajaj has given split seats and new grab rails. The traditional two piece LED tail lamp from UG2 series Pulsar continues in the 200 NS also.
The rear ends on a high note like powerful sports bike. Bajaj has given perimeter frame for the Pulsar 200 NS which gives agility and excellent handling. The Pulsar 200 NS comes with telescopic front suspension and mono shocks at rear which is a Bajaj first. The Indian manufacturer has given split handle bars and they are position little higher along with rear set foot pegs gives an upright seating position for the Pulsar 200 NS.
The analog and digital combination for instrument cluster from the earlier Pulsar models continue on 200 NS also. But it is loaded with lots of features like dual trip metre, clock etc. Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is powered by 199 cc single cylinder engine producing 23.2 hp of power and 18.3 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 6 speed gearbox.

The Pulsar 200 NS gets 280 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc. But the company is offering only single channel ABS system with Pulsar 200 NS. Bajaj has given 17 inch alloy wheels with 100/80 section tyre at front and 130/70 section tyre at rear. The Pulsar 200 NS is available in three colour – Graphite Black, Mirage White and Red. Bajaj priced the Pulsar 200 NS at Rs. 98,714 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
