Honda Unicorn endured the highest YoY growth amongst the top ten finishers as 25,051 units were sold in August 2022 against 5,679 units
Hero MotoCorp finished on top of the sales charts in the month of August 2022 as 2,86,007 units were sold against 2,41,703 units during the same period in 2021 with a YoY sales increase of 18.3 per cent. The Honda CB Shine was the second most sold motorcycle in the country last month but with a negative YoY volume growth.
The Japanese entry-level commuter posted 1,20,139 units last month against 1,29,926 units during the corresponding period in 2021 with a YoY de-growth of 7.5 per cent. The Bajaj Platina finished in the third position with an impressive YoY sales surge of 76.6 per cent as nearly one lakh units were recorded in the month of August 2022.
The Platina registered 99,987 units against 56,615 units in August 2021. The highly popular Bajaj Pulsar series managed a total of 97,135 units against 66,107 units during the same period in 2021 with a healthy YoY growth of 46.9 per cent. The Hero HF Deluxe finished in the fifth position with 72,224 units against 1,14,575 units during the same period last year.

This led to a YoY negative sales growth of 36.9 per cent. In the second half of the sales table, TVS had the Apache series finish in the sixth position as 40,520 units were registered against 16,423 units during the same period last year with a YoY growth of 146.7 per cent. The Hero Passion finished in the seventh position.
It garnered a cumulative domestic tally of 28,149 units against 14,812 units during the same period last year with a YoY volume increase of 90 per cent. The Hero Glamour finished in the eighth position with 27,613 units against 23,747 units with a YoY sales growth of 16.2 per cent.
The Honda Unicorn finished in the ninth position with 25,051 units against 5,679 units during the same period last year with a YoY growth of 341.1 per cent while the Bajaj CT100 rounded out the top ten with a total of 24,094 units against 26,578 units with a YoY drop of 9.3 per cent.
