Maruti Suzuki Ertiga sat on top of the sales standings ahead of Mahindra Bolero and Mahindra Scorpio in the month of November 2022

Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga finished on top of the three-row UV sales charts for the month of November 2022 as 13,818 units were sold. In comparison, the MPV garnered a total of 8,752 units during the same period last year with a YoY volume increase of 58 per cent. The Mahindra Bolero MUV came in at second.

The long serving nameplate is still a consistent seller for the homegrown SUV manufacturer  and last month, 7,984 units were recorded against 5,442 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago with a YoY volume increase of 47 per cent. The Scorpio range has been posting good sales tally of late courtesy of the arrival of the Scorpio N.

The new generation SUV is based on a new ladder frame chassis and has larger proportions compared to the old Scorpio, which has been on sale in its updated avatar as the Scorpio Classic. The Scorpio range recorded a domestic tally of 6,455 units last month as against 3,370 units during the same period in 2021 with a YoY sales surge of 92 per cent.

The Kia Carens finished in the fourth position with 6,360 unit sales as it sat ahead of Mahindra’s XUV700. The Carens made its local debut earlier this year and it has been well received amongst customers. The XUV700 posted 5,701 units against 3,207 units in November 2021 with a YoY sales growth of 78 per cent.

In the second half of the table, Maruti Suzuki’s XL6 finished in the sixth position with 2,988 units as against 3,280 units with a YoY sales decline of 9 per cent. The six-seater MPV with a middle row captain seating arrangement received a mild update earlier this year and is also offered with a CNG powertrain.

Toyota Innova Crysta-2

The Renault Triber finished in the seventh position with 2,550 units against 1,843 units with a YoY volume increase of 38 per cent. The Toyota Innova Crysta ended up eighth with 2,025 unit sales against 6,300 units while the Hyundai Alcazar and Toyota Fortuner rounded out the top ten.
