In the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad, several brand new cars have been destroyed in front of a NEXA showroom due to a powerful thunderstorm. The NEXA showroom is located at Varun Park. Both the display models of the showroom, as well as the cars of the customers have been destroyed completely by an uprooted pole.

GaadiWaadi reader Dinesh clicked the images of the damaged cars. Apart from the showroom, the other areas have seen havoc as well. Several cars have been spotted lying severely damaged around the city. The powerful thunderstorm and heavy rainfall has uprooted trees, collapsed large hoardings which led to the havoc. Two cars were severely damaged when a large hoarding collapsed on the cars near the Jubilee Hills check post. The thunderstorm struck the city around 4 pm this afternoon. Due to the heavy rainfall the many roads became into lakes in short time, which led thousands of vehicles stranded in several feet of water and stucked in massive traffic jam.

In front of the Varun Park NEXA showroom brand new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Baleno have been destroyed completely with the uprooted pole. Alongside the display models, other cars of visiting customers including Hyundai i10, Maruti Suzuki Ritz, Toyota Innova have been destroyed as well. In the Jubilee hills area a Maruti Suzuki Swift and a Maruti Suzuki Ritz were seen damaged by a big collapsed hoarding. The thunderstorm was not related to the cyclonic storm Roanu which has been formed in the Bay of Bengal.
