November hasn’t been a great month for the auto industry as the festival season was dull and sales were lower than what the manufacturers expected. The only companies, which has managed to register positive growth was Mahindra and Honda thanks to the introduction of newer models, while most of the other companies posted marginal negative growth but the top six manufacturers have increased market share also. In this article, we are taking a look at the segment leaders and runner-up in each segment.

In the entry-level segment, Maruti Suzuki Alto continues its domination as the company sold 18,643 units last month compared to just 5419 units by Renault Kwid in the runner-up position, both models registered negative growth. In the A2 segment, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R topped the sales chart in November and the hatchback has improved sales compared to October.

The new generation Wagon R is expected to make its debut next month and it will help the model to improve sales.
