
The recently unveiled 2024 Tesla Model 3 facelift brings exciting changes in design, technology, and range to the global EV market.
Electric vehicle enthusiasts and Tesla aficionados have reason to celebrate, as Tesla recently unveiled the highly anticipated 2024 Model 3. This mid-life facelift of Tesla’s electric sedan brings a slew of upgrades, both inside and out, which promise to elevate the driving experience to new heights. Now that Tesla considering entry into the Indian car market once again, the new Model 3 is expected to hit our shores very soon!
Let’s take a look at the top changes we’ve noted so far on the 2024 Tesla Model 3 facelift.
1. Refreshed Exterior Design
The Model 3 showcases a revamped front and rear fascia, featuring slim LED headlights, new bumper design, and updated LED taillights. It also introduces new wheel options for a refreshed appearance.
2. Interior Enhancements
Tesla has redesigned the Model 3’s interior, introducing ambient lighting across the dashboard and doors. The gear selector has moved to the touchscreen, offering a minimalist cabin design.
3. Infotainment Screen
The centre infotainment touchscreen has grown from 15 inches to 15.4 inches, and it now features slimmer bezels, offering an enhanced user experience.
4. Interior Comfort and Entertainment
The interior features ventilated front seats, an improved 17-speaker sound system, and expanded trunk space. Passengers in the rear can access an 8-inch touchscreen for climate control and entertainment functions.
5. Stalk-Free Steering
The Model 3’s steering wheel integrates turn signals, eliminating traditional stalks, and streamlining the driving experience. This further improves the aesthetics of the EV’s cabin.
6. Better Aerodynamic Efficiency
Tesla has managed to reduce the Model 3’s drag coefficient from 0.23Cd to 0.219 Cd, contributing to the enhanced range and efficiency.
7. Improved Driving Range
While exact U.S. specifications are pending, the European version of the Model 3 has seen an impressive 11-12% increase in range. The Standard Range RWD model can now travel up to 344 miles on the WLTP cycle, and the Long Range offers an extended range of 421 miles.
It should be noted that Tesla has only unveiled the “Standard Range” and “Long Range” variants of the facelifted Model 3. The “Performance” variant is yet to be revealed, which should happen in the coming months.
