Tata Zest Sports Edition comes with cosmetic upgrades only

Tata Motors has launched the Zest Sportz Edition to celebrate the 50,000 unit sale of the compact sedan. The car comes with cosmetic updates only. The special edition comes with body kits available at an extra cost across all the variants. The car also comes with some attractive financial scheme and bonus.

The car gets an attractive paint job in the Sportz Edition model. At the front fascia the lower lip of gets a red paint job, which gives the fascia a sporty look. Apart from that the swept back sharp headlamp clusters featuring projector units, LED daytime running lights, chrome embellished smiling radiator grille remain same. The front bumper also comes similar.

At the side profile the Tata Zest Sportz Edition comes with a tri colour (Red, Grey and Black) body graphics, which grabs attention easily, and gives the Zest a sporty vibe. The side sills get extended and come painted in red. The wing mirrors get red caps, while the wheels also receive alloy rims. Among other changes, the glass area dons rain visors.

At the rear profile also the Zest Sportz Edition remains identical. The only visible change is the red painted bumper. So far, the changes have been made at exterior, to make the car sporty looking. It is not clear, whether, the interior has received any updates or not. But we expect the interior also boasts some attractive cosmetic changes.

The power source for the Sportz Edition remains same. It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol model gets power from a 1.2 litre Revotron engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, churning out 90 PS of peak power and 140 Nm of peak torque. The 1.3 litre Quadrajet diesel engine is available in two different tunes. It kicks out 75 PS and 90 PS power outputs. While the 75 PS variant gets mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, the 90 PS variant is available with a 5 speed AMT gearbox.

Apart from offering the body kits and new paint job to the Zest Sportz Edition, Tata Motors is also offering a special package for the customers. In this scheme customers can pay the EMI of Rs. 3,999 per month for the car. Also this scheme comes with a free insurance of Rs. 33,000, an exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000. It also includes other benefits up to Rs. 68,000.
