Tata Tigor facelift is going to be launched on October 10th and the company has already released a couple of teaser videos, which reveals updated headlamp and tail lamps. The latest teaser image shows the updated front end of Tigor facelift as it gets tweaked grille with a chrome line on the bottom.

The facelift model also comes with new projector headlamps, even though the cluster is the same from the previous model and the compact sedan gets a new front bumper also. The updated model might get a new design for the alloy wheels and the company has given clear lens tail lamps along with a new bumper at the rear.

The Tigor facelift will be available with a new dark blue exterior colour. The major update is in the interior as Tigor comes with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system sourced from Harman. The centre console had to be redesigned to accommodate the new system and it comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity options.

The company has also given aluminium finish for the centre console and the new touchscreen is expected to be offered only on the top end variant. The regular antenna has been replaced by a shark fin antenna on the new model. Apart from this, Tata Motors hasn’t made any changes to the Tigor.

The compact sedan is available with two engine options as the 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine puts out 85 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The 1.05 L Revotorq diesel unit produces 70 PS at 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm at 1,800 rpm. Both these engines are mated to 5-speed manual and AMT is offered only with a petrol engine.

The Tigor facelift model gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and parking sensors. We can expect a small bump in price across variants and the Tigor will compete against models like Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, recently updated Ford Aspire and Hyundai Xcent.
