2023 Tata Nexon facelift is expected to launch around August while the updated Harrier and Safari could be introduced before the end of this year
Tata Motors is currently developing a trio of facelifted SUVs for the domestic market as the updated Nexon, Harrier and Safari are tested on public roads. The Nexon compact SUV is the best-selling SUV in the country and the arrival of the mid-life facelift back in early 2020 has played a big role in its high popularity over the last three and a half years.
The five-seater will be subjected to a thorough revision inside and out this time around as well. The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will likely go on sale around August and the design will be influenced by the Curvv concept big time. Earlier this year, Tata showcased the near-production Curvv with a brand new design philosophy and a majority of its elements will be applied to the upcoming Nexon.
The Curvv will likely be introduced sometime next year and it will have a lot in common with its compact SUV sibling. Thus, both following the same styling language will only make sense. The updated Tata Harrier and Safari will be inspired by the Harrier EV concept and they will be launched around September and October respectively.
All three SUVs are expected to be powered by new petrol engines while the diesel option will stay put. Just like the exterior, the cabin will receive a host of revisions including a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the middle, touch controls for air conditioning, a new dashboard and centre console, etc.
The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will gain a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with new UI, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a new digital cluster and so on while the updated Harrier and Safari could be offered with a more premium equipment list. An all-new 1.5L DI turbo petrol engine could join the lineup.
Over to the Nexon, the existing 1.2L three-cylinder turbo petrol engine could be replaced by the new-gen 1.2L DI turbo petrol making 125 PS. It will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a DCT.
