The upcoming Tata Nexon facelift has been spotted once again, teasing connected taillights among other design upgrades
The upcoming Tata Nexon facelift has been caught on camera once again, showcasing its intriguing connected taillights. The design seems to be an evolution of the current Nexon’s taillight setup. The spy shots give us a glimpse of the revamped rear design, featuring a distinctive V-shaped LED taillight setup with a striking light bar bridging the two clusters.
Not stopping at the rear, the Nexon facelift is expected to receive a fresh new look in the front as well. Taking inspiration from the Curvv concept, the crossover is likely to boast an upright grille and a split headlamp setup. The spy images reveal sleek LED daytime running lights and a projector headlamp positioned on the front bumper, adding a touch of modernity to its appearance.
Inside the cabin, the Nexon facelift aims to impress with a 2-spoke multi-function steering wheel adorned with an illuminated Tata logo at its center. The car will also introduce an all-new center console HVAC panel, featuring haptic switches and a larger touchscreen infotainment system, providing a seamless and tech-savvy driving experience.
Under the hood, rumors suggest that Tata will equip the Nexon facelift with its new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, generating an impressive 122 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. It will likely be offered with two gearbox options – a manual and a DCT. The existing 1.5-litre diesel engine (113 bhp and 260 Nm) is also expected to be carried over, with the same transmission options (manual and AMT) as the current model.
The refreshed Nexon is anticipated to launch alongside its electric variant, the Nexon EV, in the coming months. Both models are set to feature similar designs, with the electric version featuring only a few EV-specific changes to differentiate it from the ICE model. It will likely be offered in ‘Prime’ and ‘Max’ versions as the current model, with the same battery-motor combo.
The forthcoming Tata Nexon facelift will likely hit the Indian market around Diwali 2023. Pricing is estimated to range from Rs. 8-15 lakh for the ICE models, and Rs. 14-20 lakh for the EV models (ex-showroom, expected prices).
