The Tata Nexon has been the Indian carmaker’s contender in the sub-4-metre SUV segment, where it rivals the likes of Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and XUV300

The Tata Nexon keeps on adding feather to its caps. The Maruti Vitara Brezza rival, which has been selling in decent numbers every month, has been in limelight for a while now owing to its 5-star score in the Euro NCAP crash tests.

In another achievement, Tata Motors has crossed the 1 lakh-unit production milestone for the Nexon in less than 2 years since the car has been available in the market. The 1,00,000th unit of the Nexon was recently rolled out of company’s Ranjangaon-based facility off Pune. It was finished in the Moroccan blue exterior paint shade.

The Tata Nexon has been available with two engine options – 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. Both the motors pump out 110 PS of maximum power and are available with two transmission options – 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.

These include Eco, City and Sport, and can help the driver optimize the power-output as per the driving conditions.

The Tata Nexon comes with a handful of comfort and convenience-enhancing features, at least in the top-spec trim. The equipment list for the compact SUV includes steering-mounted audio and telephone controls, automatic climate control, reverse parking camera with guidelines, rear AC vents, an 8-speaker Harman audio system, and a 6.5-inch infotainment screen with Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
