Tata Nexon XE trim misses out on features like projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps, alloy wheels and dual-tone paint

Tata Nexon is going to be the next big model from the homegrown auto major. Expected to start selling from late September, this compact SUV brings freshness to the automaker’s portfolio and it will lock horns with tough rivals like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. Not only a fresh styling, it also boasts interesting upmarket features and efficient powertrain as well.

Now, before the automaker starts selling Nexon, the base trim (XE) of the model has been spotted at a dealership giving us a clear view of the car and also revealing the features it misses out compared to the higher trims. This particular Nexon wears a Blue paint scheme that is darker than Tiago’s Stryker Blue theme. As it appears, the Tata Nexon XE doesn’t get projector headlamps, integrated LED daytime running lights and front fog lamps.

The rear profile of Tata Nexon XE misses out on LED taillights, shark fin antenna and rear parking sensors.

On the powertrain front, Tata Nexon will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol model will get a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged engine under the hood and the diesel powered model will draw energy from a 1.5-litre Revotorq unit. The petrol engine is capable of kicking out 110 PS of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel motor generates 110 PS of peak power and 260 Nm of peak torque.
