The AMT is currently available only in top end variants and introducing it in lower variants will further improve sales of the compact SUV
Tata Motors registered record growth last months thanks to new products. Among the recent launches, Nexon is the most popular product for the Indian manufacturer which helped the company to improve its UV sales. During the official launch, Tata Motors confirmed that they will introduce more variants of Nexon in the coming months to keep the momentum going forward.
Tata Motors officially introduced Nexon AMT last week in India. But the AMT was available only in top end variant of petrol and diesel model. The XZA get all these features along with 6.5 inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto, four speakers with four tweeters, navigation system, shark-fin antenna, cooled glove box, climate control, height adjustable driver seat, fast USB charger, reverse camera, body-coloured door handles, roof rails, LED DRLs and electrically adjustable OVRMs.
The Nexon AMT is powered by 1.5 L RevoTorq engine producing 110 hp of power and 260 Nm of torque. The power output is identical to the manual model. Tata Motors offer ECO, City and Sport along with trip tronic option for manual shifting gears. To help the drivers, the company has given hill start assist and creep function for Nexon AMT.
