Tata Motors will soon offer the Tiago and Tigor JTP with 7-inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Tata Motors is planning to update the infotainment system on the Tiago and Tigor JTP as the current models come with outdated 5-inch touch screen unit, which was also available on the regular models but the company has updated the system earlier this year as they are now available with 7-inch touch screen unit.
The new infotainment system is available only on the top-spec XZ+ variant and it is expected to be introduced in the JTP models in coming months. The new 7-inch touch screen is sourced from Harman like other systems of Tata Motors and initially, it was offered only with Android Auto but the company has updated it.
Now it is also available with Apple CarPlay and the system come with voice recognition. The infotainment system gets four speakers and four tweeters for excellent audio quality as Tata Motors has focused on it since the introduction of Tiago. The infotainment system has image and video playback option also.

Both these models are powered by 1.2 L turbocharged petrol engine with 113 PS at 5,000 rpm and 150 Nm between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm.
This engine is mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. The suspension has been lowered and it is tuned to deliver excellent handling but that doesn’t compromise ride quality. Tata Motors has also made some changes to the brakes and the exhaust is also different as both models come with a sporty note.
Tata Motors is currently working on Tiago facelift, which is expected to arrive later this year as the hatchback get lots of exterior changes. The company has given redesigned headlamps and tail lamps along with a new set of bumper and alloy wheels while the interior might get tweaked dashboard and new features also.
