Tata Motors Is Betting Big On Nexon SUV; Hopes To Replicate Tiago’s Success

Tata Motors hopes all-new Nexon will help the brand to achieve 20,000 unit monthly sales cumulatively

Tata Motors is betting big on its all-new compact SUV Nexon. The brand aims to achieve around 20,000 units of monthly sales with this SUV. The homegrown auto major has already garnered pretty much interest with the car and Tata also hopes that Nexon could be instrumental in its goal to become third major car brand in the country by FY19.

Tata Nexon will compete with tough rivals like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport, which are already established models in the domestic market. Available in both petrol and diesel engine options, the Nexon SUV comes very aggressively priced between Rs. 5.85 lakh and Rs. 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Not only a very aggressive pricing, this all-new compact SUV in the market also wears a very unique design and it also sports several upmarket technologies enhancing the appeal of the car further. Apart from that, the powerful and efficient powertrains will also help the SUV to lure the buyers. The automaker believes that Nexon will boost the success the brand has seen with products like Tiago, Tigor and Hexa.

Tata is also working on couple of new and exciting products that includes two premium SUVs, a premium hatchback, a full-size sedan and an entry level hatchback. The company is expected to unveil the two premium SUVs codenamed as Q501 and Q502 respectively and the premium hatchback codenamed as X451 at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo.

The company has already outpaced the overall industry growth in FY17. In the current fiscal too, it aims to achieve more success thanks to the new products. A very interesting change in the brand’s philosophy has been observed. The new cars from the brand come with fresh styling, advanced technologies and attractive features along with new powertrains. These have helped Tata to grab the attention of the young generation buyers as well, which could be instrumental for the company’s future success.
