Tata Kite 5 Aktiv could come as an accessorised version of the standard subcompact sedan

A speculative rendering appeared on Twitter gave the forthcoming Tata Kite 5 sub-four metre sedan, an Aktiv-like look. With rumours running around the launch of the Tiago Aktiv, the fully-accessorised cousin of the standard hatchback, the crossover treatment on the Kite 5 sedan by artist Dhananjayan Kausshik has come as a very thoughtful assessment.

It could create a new segment all on its own, just like the recently launched Volvo S60 Cross Country did in the luxury space with its sedan-resembling looks and capabilities of an SUV with raised suspension. The production version of Tata Kite 5 subcompact sedan was revealed at the Auto Expo 2016 in early February and it will go up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, the upcoming Volkswagen Ameo, Ford Figo Aspire and Hyundai Xcent.
