Tata-HSX-Side-Profile.jpgThe CAFÉ norm was introduced in 2017 which is aimed to reduce emissions from cars as it is different from other norms as it doesn’t account for fuel efficiency from a single model instead the average efficiency will be calculated from the entire portfolio of the manufacturer. The current phase requires only 10 percent to be efficient.

The second phase of CAFÉ is going to be introduced in 2022 and it will require manufacturers to be 30 percent efficient which is why most of the carmakers are working on making their engines more efficient along with alternative fuels to contribute to it. The average economy is calculated on the basis of how much fuel used for 100 km.
