The Tata Altroz CNG will challenge the rivals like the Toyota Glanza CNG and the Maruti Baleno CNG in the Indian market
The Tata Altroz is not only one of the safest premium hatchbacks in the country but is also known for its strong exterior styling, a premium cabin, and practical engine options. The brand recently unveiled the Altroz CNG at the Auto Expo 2023 to challenge the rivals like the Maruti Baleno CNG. Here are all the details you need to know about the new Tata Altroz CNG.
The Tata Altroz CNG was one of the many new Tata cars that were showcased during the Auto Expo and not only boasts a practical cabin but is also offered with a fuel-efficient powertrain. The Tata Altroz CNG also became the first CNG car in the country to be offered with a twin CNG cylinder setup in the boot. This new placement of the cylinders helps in better utilisation of the boot space, thus making it a lot more practical when compared to the competition.
For those wondering, the Altroz is offered with a 1.2L Revotron CNG engine that delivers a maximum power output of 77 PS and a peak torque output of 97 Nm. This engine will only be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The buyers can also buy the Altroz with a standard 1.2L petrol and a 1.2L i-turbo petrol engine.
Both these engines offer impressive fuel economy figures and the Altroz can be had with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options depending on the variant you opt for.
On the features front, the Altroz CNG gets voice activated electric sunroof, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, R16 Dual Tone Alloy Wheels, a 7-inch Touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, premium leatherette seats, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, rear seat armrest, height adjustable driver seat, auto fold ORVM, and more.
The safety features, on the other hand, include 6-airbags, micro switch to keep the car switched off at the time of refuelling, thermal incident protection, leak detection feature, and fire protection device.
