Production-Ready Tata 45X (Baleno Rival) Rendered In Stylish Manner

Tata 45X premium hatchback has a sporty wide profile and heavily raked windshield; expected to be a stunning looker when it goes on sale

Tata Motors has been continuing its trend of launching some exciting products in Indian market in recent times and the homegrown brand unveiled a concept called 45X, previewing a premium hatchback, at the recently concluded 14th edition of Auto Expo. This upcoming hatchback based on this concept is built on the auto major’s modular architecture AMP that stands for Advanced Modular Platform.

Interestingly, it will be the first Tata car based on the AMP and this hatchback throws tough challenge to the segment leading Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20. The car not only carries premiumness, it is also expected to boost the auto manufacturer’s sales in near future. As Tata has unveiled the concept version of 45X premium hatchback, let us take a closer look at its stunning design:

The premium hatchback based on the 45X Concept is expected to be launched in India in the second half of 2018 or in early 2019.

Tata 45X India Price

Expected Price Rs. 5.50 lakh – Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

Tata upcoming Maruti Baleno rival is expected to be priced between Rs. 5.50 lakh and Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It would be priced competitively against Hyundai Elite i20 as well.

Tata production version of the 45X Concept will come powered by both petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine is a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged unit that is capable of kicking out 110 PS of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel engine is a 1.5-litre motor capable of pumping out 110 PS of peak power and 260 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine delivers 20 kmpl of fuel efficiency, while the diesel motor returns 26 kmpl. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well.

Tata 45X Concept has a low-slung profile and a wide stance. Expect the production model to have same traits along with a long wheelbase ensuring good space on the inside for occupants. The overall design can be clearly seen in the production rendering featured above as well.

Tata 45X Exterior Design

Tata Motors has followed the Impact design 2.0 philosophy in the 45X Concept which is an evolution of the existing styling seen in the Hexa, Tiago, Tigor and Nexon. It gets a sporty and upmarket stance that is visible from every angle. The hatchback concept features sleek projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The sleek front grille gets chrome trims, while the front bumper too appears stylish and crafted looking.

Tata X451 gets sporty and stylish alloy wheels, sleek creases at side profile, turn indicator integrated ORVMs and blackened glass area. The roofline swoops to the back with a curved appearance adding more style to the overall package. At the back, there are stylish compact wraparound LED taillights, a crafted looking bumper and twin roof spoiler.

Tata 45X Interior and Features

Inside the cabin, the production-spec Tata 45X (or X451) will come very much appealing with its design and features. It will likely get sporty and stylish multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system at centre console with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The dashboard looks layered with its overall appearance.

Seat and upholstery come wrapped with upmarket quality materials. It offers ample space and comfort, while safety features on offer are of top notch quality ensuring better protection for the occupants.

The production version of the Tata 45X will lock horns with rivals like Maruti Suzuki Baleno Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz.
