The upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be unveiled at a dealer event in January and will be launched towards March 2019 in India
There is no doubt in the fact that the upcoming GIxxer 250 is the next big thing which will come out from Suzuki’s stable. According to the recent reports, Suzuki is almost ready with their long-awaited 250 cc motorcycle for India. The upcoming motorcycle will likely be called the Gixxer 250 and it will be unveiled at a dealer event in January 2019 while the launch will take place around the month of March 2019.
The upcoming 250 cc motorcycle will rival directly against the likes of Yamaha FZ25 upon its launch. Suzuki will perhaps launch two separate variants of the motorcycle just like they did with the smaller Gixxer 150. This means that there will be one naked variant, while the other one will be a faired sport variant.
You can all expect Suzuki to unveil the naked streetfighter variant first while the fully faired variant will be introduced later. Apart from this limited information, there are no other details available at this moment. However, some report suggests that the upcoming 250cc naked streetfighter will look identical to Houje 300 aka GSX S300.
The motorcycle will feature LED headlamps and taillamps, fuel injection, oil cooler and also a single channel ABS system (there is a chance that Suzuki might offer a dual channel ABS setup as well). It will also use the same chassis which underpins the Gixxer 150 siblings, however the frame will be strengthened to handle the higher specification.
The upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 will most probably be powered by a single cylinder near 250 cc engine. The new engine will perhaps get an oil cooler instead of a full liquid cooling system to keep the cost under check and at par with its closest rival.
Just like we mentioned earlier Suzuki will also introduce a faired version as well later based on the same 250 cc motorcycle. The faired variant will rival against the likes of the Yamaha FZ25 and the Honda CBR 250R upon its launch. As far as the pricing is concerned the Gixxer 250 (streetfighter)is expected to be priced under Rs 1.50 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
