Suzuki around the world is known for making small cars in third world country. It has taken a brave step by startig production of its car in the neighboring country of Myanmar. Ertiga is a highly successful product for the company consumers collectively. The car has brought tremendous cash and customer to the Japanese giant. This also marks something very significant.

Production of the Suzuki Ertiga has expanded beyond Indonesia and India. Myanmar has now become the third country to build the three-row seven-seater MPV for the domestic market. The Ertga as we know, made its debut in India with Maruti, a company more valued than the parent company. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga came in the year 2012 and post that Suzuki began selling in Indonesia later that year.
Suzuki Myanmar Motor Co (SMMC) has started a plant in South Dagon, Yangon, where it will produce the Suzuki Ertiga. The monthly production of the car is quite low and will be limited to 100 units as of now. The plant currently builds the Carry mini-truck which is also all set to come to India before this fiscal year ends and that is before March 2016. The Suzuki Ertiga goes on sale from the end of July at Suzuki dealers in the country Myanmar.
Suzuki earlier announced plans to expand its assembly operations in the country by building a second production plant as well. Reports say that the construction is expected to start later this year and the work begins in mid 2017. Suzuki plans to produce some 10,000 cars a year which includes the Ertiga. The Suzuki Ertiga sold in Myanmar will have petrol engine only which is the 1.4 litre four-cylinder petrol motor that produces 94 hp at 6000 RPM and 130 Nm at 4000 RPM.
