Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS to come wearing updated body graphics; priced at around Rs. 7,000 premium over standard model

Suzuki has launched the ABS variant of the sporty Gixxer SF and we showed you the leaked brochure of the bike a few days ago as well. With bookings having already commenced, the Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS (Carburetor) is priced at Rs. 95,599 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Gixxer SF ABS (FI) is sold at Rs. 99,312 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in both carburetor and FI versions while the rear disc variant misses out on the ABS.

The addition of ABS will certainly enhance the appeal of the bike further and it is a single-channel unit equipped in the front wheel. The Gixxer SF is the first motorcycle in its class to get ABS and it now comes wearing updated body graphics as well. The tricolour body graphics on front cowl, side profile and fuel tank enhance the bike’s visual appeal further.

Besides the ABS and new body graphics, the new variant won’t sport any change at all. Power source of the bike will remain same. In that case, it will draw energy from the 154.9 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke SOHC engine coupled with 5-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of churning out 14.8 PS of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

On the suspension front, it will carry 41 mm telescopic front forks and a seven-step adjustable monoshock absorber at rear. Stopping power will be delivered by a 266 mm front disc brake and a 240 mm rear disc brake along with a single channel ABS, increasing the safety further. The bike will run on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with tubeless tyres.
