Suzuki Access sales doubles in September 2016; 26,417 units sold compared to 12,986 units in same month last year marking a 103% growth

Suzuki Access is a stylish 125cc scooter, which has received facelift earlier this year in March. Post facelift, the scooter has seen impressive success, as its sales figure doubled. In September 2016, the scooter sold 26,417 units compared to 12,986 units in corresponding month last year, which marked a whopping 103% growth in sales.

Suzuki Access received a design update in its facelift avatar, while features were also updated to give it a more upmarket appearance. The Access bears a styling which is a blend between retro and modern styling. It sports a retro looking headlamp, which receives chrome treatment enhancing the style quotient. The clear turn indicators, revised side panels also increases its style. Suzuki has also added a 3D Access logo to the scooter, while new chrome exhaust muffler cover and aluminum grab rail has been introduced as well.

All-new Suzuki Access gets feature updates inform of a revised analog-digital instrument cluster, front pocket, mobile charging socket. It gets a new seat and underseat storage space, which offers 21-litres of storage, while new Suzuki Access comes with a central lock system as well.

Power source for the Suzuki Access remains same, but the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has added new Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology to the scooter. This technology improves performance and enhances fuel economy of Access. The engine churns out 8.5 bhp of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm, while it also delivers 64 kmpl of fuel economy.

All-new Suzuki Access has received new 12-inch alloy wheels at the front, which offers improved handling. On suspension front, it gets front telescopic suspension. Suzuki offers a front disc variant of the scooter, and a special edition of Access was launched earlier this in September as well. Priced at Rs. 53,887 (ex-showroom, Delhi), Suzuki Access competes against rivals like Honda Activa 125, Mahindra Rodeo RZ and Honda Aviator.
