Skoda will launch the BS6-compliant Rapid in April this year, once the latest emission norms come into effect. Along with the outgoing 1.6-litre MPI petrol motor (103.2 hp/153 Nm), the BS4 to BS6 transition will also see the Rapid lose its 1.6-litre TDI diesel engine, which makes 108.6 hp power and 250 Nm torque.

Apart from the Rapid Matte Concept, Skoda has also showcased the Karoq SUV, the Octavia RS 245, as well as the Superb facelift. The Karoq SUV comes with a sole 1.5-litre TSI engine that comes paired to a 7-speed DSG as standard, and has a max power and torque output of 150 PS and 250 Nm respectively.
