Skoda Octavia Monte Carlo comes minimum changes physically, but carries with a emotional bond as it looks super slick
The Skoda Octavia Monte Carlo edition has come to life ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show, this Monte Carlo package was already available on the all other models, Skoda produces. However, there’s nothing really special with the Octavia Monte Carlo, which adopts similar exterior and interior upgrades as always. Launch however will be in November worldwide with styling and equipment upgrades, this small sedan will be the sixth model in the Monte Carlo range with other Skoda models worldwide.

Exterior design changes includes 17-inch alloy wheels to choose from, black finish for the radiator grille frame, ORVM’s, front and rear spoilers, doorsills and the rear diffuser. Skoda Octavia Monte Carlo will also get a Monte Carlo badge on the B-pillars with black color side skirts. The Skoda Octavia Monte Carlo edition also sports tinted rear side windows and back window, plus smoked tail lights to make it more sporty and appealing while being true the facts of the Monte Carlo edition as always.
Interior wise, the Skoda Octavia Monte Carlo gets a three-spoke sport leather steering wheel, leather gearknob and handbrake. Individual sports seats are available come with contrast stitching on the seats along with red and white color being used on seats at the front and rear. In terms of equipment, the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo gets standard electrically adjustable and heated wing mirrors, xenon headlights and tinted fog lights added to the package worldwide.
Mechanically it will have host of engines right from 1.2 TSI turbo to 2.0L diesel engine with automatic and manual gearbox options. Let’s not forget the 2.0 RS petrol engine which makes 230 BHP which isn’t available with the Skoda Octavia Monte Carlo edition though. Skoda India should bring this traditional Monte Carlo edition to India as well as it has the right balance of subtle-ness and sporty-ness which the enthusiast love in India and that’s what the Octavia is known for in our country.
