Skoda India has today launched the Corporate Edition of the Octavia executive sedan in both petrol and diesel variants following the introduction of the same edition on Superb a couple of months ago. The 1.4 TSI petrol manual trim of the Octavia corporate Edition is priced at Rs. 15.49 lakh while the 2.0 TDI diesel manual version costs Rs. 16.99 lakh (both prices introductory, ex-showroom pan India).

It is available across all authorised Skoda dealerships present in India and sold in the highly popular Candy White paint job. Skoda says the Octavia Corporate Edition meets the demand for “emotionally rich” design and unparalleled VFM proposition. Basically, it is a spruced up version of the regular Octavia that has a defining visual presence of its own already.

On the outside, it comes with the signature butterfly front grille with chrome embellishment and the Quadra headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights add a sporty character. The side profile has coupe-ish silhouette and tapered rear window to further enhance the aggressive stance and the 16-inch Velorum alloy wheels along with the sharp bodylines are other highlighting visual features.

No performance changes have been made as the Octavia Corporate Edition uses the familiar 1.4-litre TSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines.

The former is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 150 PS and 250 Nm and it has claimed fuel economy of 16.7 kmpl. It can do zero to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds before topping out 219 kmph. The diesel mill, on the other hand, generates 143 PS and 320 Nm, and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission as well. It helps in reaching zero to 100 kmph dash in 8.4 seconds and the top speed is rated at 218 kmph with ARAI-certified mileage of 21 kmpl.

The Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition gets four airbags as standard along with a myriad of safety features like Hydraulic Brake Assistant (HBA), Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), Motor Speed Regulation (MSR), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Break-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Multi-Collision Braking (MKB).
