Skoda’s new entry-level premium SUV will be positioned below Karoq and it will be underpinned by Volkswagen MQB A0 architecture

Skoda is aiming to launch a new entry-level premium SUV in the Indian market that will be positioned below the Skoda Karoq. As we have reported earlier, the Czech automaker is gearing up to roll out at least three SUVs in the domestic market in order to boost its sales here and increase the market share as well. The Kodiaq is already here and next up is the Karoq. After that, this new SUV will be introduced in the country.

Name of this sub-Karoq SUV is yet to be disclosed by the Volkswagen owned premium car brand. It will be underpinned by Volkswagen’s much appreciated MQB A0 architecture. In terms of design, it would certainly come inspired by its two bigger siblings Kodiaq and the Karoq. Apart from that, there would be several distinctive design elements as well.

It would sport a Skoda’s signature butterfly grille flanked by sharp headlamps with projector units and integrated LED daytime running lights. A sculpted front bumper with black and horizontally slated wide air intake will be there along with rectangular shaped fog lamps.

Expect this SUV to run on sporty and stylish alloy wheels, subtle black cladding at lower side profile and sharp character lines. This would come carrying design bits from its two bigger siblings and at the rear profile, this SUV would feature wraparound LED taillights, roof spoiler and a chunky bumper as well.
