Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is known for his generosity when it comes to gifting precious things to his friends. Now he has gifted a brand new Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC coupe to his fellow actor bollywood star Salman Khan for the latter’s special appearance in SRK’s next movie. Salman has been spotted traveling in the white coloured luxury coupe that is still unregistered and carrying TC number plates.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 coupe was launched in the country in January last year. It was the first of the 13 new models the German luxury brand has rolled out in the domestic market. Currently, it is priced at Rs. 86.18 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Apart from offering extreme luxurious experience, it also focuses on high level performance.
Speaking about the powertrain, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 coupe gets power from a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine coupled with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is well capable of churning out 362 bhp of peak power and 520 Nm of peak torque. It also gets the automaker’s famous 4MATIC all wheel drive technology. Speaking about the features, it gets dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, tilt adjustable power steering etc.
On the safety front, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 coupe gets several features that include adaptive braking tech, electronic stability control, blind spot assist, lane keeping assist, rear view camera etc. So far, this is one of the luxurious offerings from the brand that blends masculinity, power and style in one single package.
In the meantime, Mercedes-Benz is enjoying a successful journey in Indian market, as the company’s sales have grown by 40% in June 2017. Not only that, in the second quarter of this year it has registered 18% growth in the domestic market. The automaker claims this success is attributed to the high demand for the E-Class Long Wheelbase model. With the pricing of the models lowered thanks to the GST, it is expecting the sales number to grow further in coming months.
