New generation Seat Ibiza fakes Hyundai Elite i20 body during test run but the headlamp featured its typical LED pattern

The new generation 2017 Seat Ibiza hatchback has been caught testing, disguising as a Hyundai Elite i20. It sounds odd, but that’s what Seat has done to fool everybody and the fake mask was a really good try. The differences can be hardly spotted from distance. But if you take a close look at the test mule, it can be identified in its real self.

The headlamps come covered, but they can be figured out as Seat ones with the typical LED pattern. The rear profile of the car can also be figured out as fake. But the disguise is so good, that the actual design of the upcoming Seat Ibiza is hard to understand. The current Ibiza sports an attractive and sharp look. Therefore the new-gen model is likely to feature an even stylish appearance.

The next generation Seat Ibiza is underpinned by the same MQB platform, which also houses the new generation Volkswagen Polo. There could be a Seat Ibiza crossover as well alongside this hatchback. The spy shots don’t reveal the interior of the new Ibiza hatch. But expect the Spanish automaker to offer an upmarket and feature packed interior with the new model.

Inside the cabin of the new Seat Ibiza, the car will come emphasizing on the latest connectivity features. The Spanish brand has already confirmed that, it will focus on in-car connectivity systems across its entire range in future. Also, the quality of the seats and upholstery materials are likely to come improved.
