Hero all set to launch 111cc Duet & Mestro Edge today, might launch New Splendor Pro and Splendor Plus Self Start too
Hero is all set to launch two new 111cc scooter in India today to fight against its arch rival HMSI and TVS. Sounds dramatic doesn’t it? Well that’s what Hero is upto now a days. After its upcoming scooters and high volume splendors spied by us, it is time it fixes the small things or meets the demands of the customers and one such thing is set to happen today.
Hero is all set to launch Splendor Plus Self Start variant soon as it was available with only a mechanical kick option until now. Launch should happen before the calendar year 2015 ends. Hero is making sure all their models are updated in the Splendor range as this is the name and brand which brings volumes to the largest motorcycle maker in the world. Hero also working on 125cc Dawn, new Super Splendor, 125cc New Scooter, Acheiver facelift and much more. HF series is another brand where Hero has concentrated and to make even more volume by making it rural focused and offering it, in all kind of forms and cubic capacity options.
Splendor Plus Self Start will continue be powered by the same 97.2cc engine which makes 8.36 PS of power and 8.05 Nm of torque from its tried and tested engine. The weight by a small margin and will increase the price too by a subtle Rs. 1500-2000 as well. As of now kick-start drum brake alloy wheel version retails at Rs. 46,500 and kick-start drum brake spoke wheel is available for Rs 45,850 ex-showroom Delhi.
