Sachin Tendulkar’s Nissan GT-R Egoist Edition had an aftermarket body kit; sold to an enthusiast and collector in Mumbai

Sachin Tendulkar is known as a car enthusiast and his love for high-performance sportscars is pretty well known. Recently master blaster has sold his Nissan GT-R Egoist Edition to a prominent car enthusiast and collector in Mumbai. Sachin bought this Nissan GT-R back in 2011 and it was equipped with an aftermarket body kit sourced from Japanese tuner.

Couple of years ago, Sachin sold his Ferrari 360 Modena to a Surat based businessman. This Italian beauty was gifted to him by Michael Schumacher. The living legend cricketer has a wide range of BMW cars in his collection including M Series models and an one off BMW i8 as well. He is also the brand ambassador of BMW.

The Nissan GT-R previously owned by Sachin was one of a kind model based on the first generation GT-R R35. This model was built before the facelifted version was introduced with design update and performance upgrade as well. The particular GT-R was equipped with special luxury equipments to offer plush premium experience compared to the regular model.

The Japanese auto manufacturer launched the GT-R officially in India in December 2016 after displaying it at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo in February. The sportscar comes priced at Rs. 1.99 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Power source for the sports coupe is a 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo engine that is coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The engine under the hood of the Nissan GT-R is capable of churning out 562 bhp of peak power and massive 637 Nm of peak toque. It can accelerate 0 – 100 kmph in less than 3 seconds at a top speed of around 320 kmph. Interestingly, Sachin Tendulkar was not only the only car enthusiast to own a GT-R that is fondly called as Godzilla. Bollywood actor John Abraham and former Indian F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan are also among the proud owners of Nissan GT-R.
