Royal Enfield will continue selling its core models like Classic and Continental GT; a bigger capacity Himalayan to be produced

Royal Enfield is preparing for a massive product overhaul that is to be implemented in next five years. CEO and managing director of the Chennai-based company, Mr. Siddhartha Lal has said that the product portfolio of the motorcycle manufacturer will be all-new in next half decade. However, it will also continue selling the iconic and core products like Bullet, Classic and Continental GT, as these models generate most revenue for the company.

Royal Enfield is also planning to launch a bigger capacity Himalayan in the country. It would receive the same 750 cc engine that the upcoming Continental GT 750 will use. The twin-cylinder engine will give the brand domination power in the middleweight category of the world motorcycle market.

Royal Enfield ambition of dominating middleweight category of the world motorcycle market is nothing new. The company has been focusing on several global markets outside the Indian domestic market in order to expand its business. It has already launched exclusive dealership in US and in couple of Latin American countries as well. With the 750 cc Himalayan, Royal Enfield will be able to lure the buyers who love to possess a high-power adventure motorcycle.

Speaking about the new models, they will be designed keeping the classic philosophy of the brand away. The company aims to become as much as possible innovative in the 350 cc – 750 cc segment. Currently, the brand is working on the upcoming flagship Continental GT 750 that is expected to be launched soon.

Apart from that, it is also working on new generation Classic and Thunderbird, codenamed as D41 and D61 respectively. The brand is hopeful to grab a strong position in the global markets with these models. Interestingly, Royal Enfield has come up from the ash and currently it is one of the fastest growing motorcycle brands in the world market. With the refreshed lineup, Royal Enfield is expecting to accelerate the momentum.
