Royal Enfield will soon be expanding its 650cc portfolio with the launch of multiple new offerings in the next couple of years

With Royal Enfield all set to soon launch the new Shotgun 650 and Meteor 650 in India in the next few weeks, strong rumours suggest that multiple other bikes will also make their debut in the next couple of years in the brand’s 650cc portfolio including a new Scrambler bike. This new upcoming RE Scrambler 650 was recently spied testing in India for the first time thus hinting at a launch in the near future.

From what we know so far, this new bike will share its underpinnings and the powertrain with other 650 cc bikes and will continue to feature the same parallel-twin motor that churns out a peak power output of 47 hp in the Continental GT 650. This bike was first time seen last month in the UK and it could make a debut in the brand’s global line-up in the near future.

Speaking of the design, the new Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 will get a subtle and simple design that will be complemented by upside-down triangle-styled side panels, a new small flyscreen, spoke wheels, round taillights, round indicators, and round headlamps. In addition to this, the bike also features a ‘2 into1’ exhaust setup and a single-piece seat setup.

The bike rides on conventional forks at the front and has an adjustable twin-rear shock suspension setup while the braking duties are handled by a twin-disc brake setup. The braking setup is likely to be offered with a dual-channel ABS as a standard part of the package.

On the features front, the new Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is expected to be offered with Tipper navigation, electric start, side stand engine kill switch, and more. The new Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is likely to make its debut somewhere next year while the official launch timeline is yet to be announced by the brand.

Royal Enfield is also expected to soon launch the new Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650 in the Indian market for buyers looking for attractive and powerful 650 cc bikes in the country.
