The Dominar 400 is now available with cash discount and free riding jacket worth Rs. 10,000 at some dealerships, the company will launch the updated model soon
Bajaj is going to introduce the updated Dominar 400 in early 2019 with lots of updates and the dealers want to clear the current stock before the launch of the new model, which is why they are offering hefty discounts with the sports cruiser as some dealerships in Bangalore are giving Furygan riding jacket worth Rs. 10,000 as free with every Dominar.
Along with this, the customers can also get Rs. 3,500 as cash discount and the company has extended the 555 jackpot offer till the end of December as it is so popular among prospective customers, which was introduced in festival season and it includes 5 free services, 5 years free own damage insurance and 5 years extended warranty.
The upcoming Dominar 400 retains the same design theme as the current model but the company has focused on mechanicals as the Dominar will get upside down forks and it might be shared with Duke model as the company currently offers a 43 mm telescopic forks at the front to reduce cost.
The mono-shock at the rear will be the same unit from the current model but the engineers have changed the tuning to improve low-speed ride as customers have complained about it. The handlebar is positioned slightly higher on the body along with some changes for the seat but the foot pegs are retained from the current model.
The new riding position is expected to give more comfort for the rider over a longer distance. The exhaust system also gets an update as the new model will get double barrel unit and exhaust note will be sportier. The 373 cc single cylinder engine shared with Duke will get an update to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms.
Some rumours point out that the power will increase as the engine produces 35 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque, mated to a slick 6-speed gearbox. The Dominar 400 will come with ride-by-wire technology, which will improve acceleration and the dual-channel ABS system will be offered as a standard feature. We can expect Bajaj to hike the price of new Dominar 400.
