Renault Zoe e-Sport concept is a sportier version of the regular electric-hatch; draws inspiration from Formula E
French auto giant Renault took the platform of Geneva Motor Show to display a sportier version of the Zoe electric hatchback back in March 2017 and it has now made its way to India with a debut at ongoing 2018 Auto Expo. The concept model is christened as the Renault Zoe e-Sport and it comes blending the performer character to the environment friendly electric powertrain. This car comes inspired by the French auto giant’s Formula E team.
Compared to the regular model, the Zoe e-Sport comes with distinctive design. It looks wider than the standard hatch, while paint job it wears is clearly borrowed from the Formula E car. But the aggressiveness is unmistakable and this is what makes all the different between the regular model and the e-Sport. Up front, Renault latest design language is clearly visible through the sleek front grille meeting the sharp and sleek LED headlamps.

The entire car has been built with extensive usage of carbon fibre. The front bumper gets large air intake. At the side profile, the Renault Zoe e-Sport concept gets sporty and bold black alloy wheels, crisp character lines enhancing the aerodynamic efficiency alongside the style. Moving to rear, the car sports a roof spoiler, LED taillights and an aggressive rear diffuser too.
Interior of the car is also very different compared to its regular sibling. It is equipped with a Formula E inspired steering wheel. And instead of conventional instrument cluster a tab like fully digital screen is in front of the driver working as the instrument cluster. The Blue accents inside the cabin emphasizes on the electric powertrain. Expect plenty of Alcantara materials inside the cabin.

The Renault Zoe e-Sport concept is powered by a Formula E powertrain, which is capable of generating 456 hp of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque. It is claimed to be capable of accelerating 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. Another interesting feature of this model is the all-wheel drive.
Thanks to the extensive usage of carbon fibre, the sporty hatch concept weighs 1,400 kg, among which the battery pack itself comes weighing 450 kg. It uses four-way Ohlins dampers combined with double-wishbone suspension to keep all the four wheels on road. Renault could launch the regular Zoe electric hatchback in India in the near future.
