The French carmaker is offering a heavy cash discount on their entry level Renault Kwid hatchback for the month of December

We recently reported that few renowned manufacturers have already decided to hike the prices of their products due to the increase in commodity prices and foreign exchange rates.

Perhaps, this is the best time of the year where the customers can go to their nearest dealers and request for heavy discounts on any selected cars of their choice. Talking about discounts in particular, Renault is offering a discount of Rs.35,000 on their entry-level offering Kwid.

While there is also report that some of the dealers are also offering discounts of up to Rs. 72,000 on the 2017 model. There is no doubt that the Kwid hatchback is definitely one of the best sellers for Renault and for those of you who are planning to get their hands on the hatchback can avail these discounts immediately.

The Renault Kwid like we already mentioned above is the entry-level hatchback from Renault which has helped the company to establish themselves in the competitive Indian market. What is even surprising, is also the fact that the hatchback also posed a threat to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Alto and also the Hyundai Eon.

Renault already offers plenty of segment first features in the Kwid hatchback which makes this entry-level hatch a very attractive package. It comes loaded with rear parking camera and rear-seat center armrest while there is also a three-point seatbelt for the rear seat passengers.

The Renault Kwid is available with two engine options. There is a smaller 0.8 Litre 3 cylinder motor which develops around 54 Bhp of peak power and 72 Nm of torque. While the more powerful 1.0 Litre 3-cylinder, petrol engine produces around 67 bhp and 91 Nm of torque.

The smaller 0.8 Litre unit is paired with a five-speed manual transmission however, Renault also offers an optional five-speed AMT gearbox as well with the 1.0 Litre engine besides the 5-speed manual gearbox.
